Mr Racing Recap

💸 PROMOTIONS 💸

Last week Mr Racing donated our $1,000 give away for the Punter Of The Day to Liam and Adrian Layt’s family to help support his GoFundMe.

Thank you for everyone who has donated to support Liam we have now taken our total raised tally to $8,720.

Mr Racing will be announcing something special down below to help reach that $20,000 goal.

This week we have already bet $500 for our winner in James Hopkins who is profited $140 on Wednesday from our 3 plays.

We still have $500 to go and we will be in touch with what we are using it on.

All Silver Members will get FREE entry into the draws so if you are not a Silver Member already, BECOME ONE TODAY.

📢 Jimmy & Liam's Road To The Millions

We are excited to announce our plan for Slippin’ Jimmy and how he can help support Liam Layt.

Mr Racing has identified the $500,000 Magic Millions Country Cup race as Slippin’ Jimmy’s target race for next preparation. There is eligibility requirements to meet to get into the race and that is you have to have 5 runs in the country or provincial to gain a start in the race.

He has already had 3 runs this prep to help qualify, and our next race target will be on Grafton Cup day!

Mr Racing along the way will be donating 5% of the prize money he earns every start leading up to the big day and, of course, on it!

We are thrilled to be able to get Liam and Adrian there on the day as well to watch Jimmy live in action, where he will be contesting a $500,000 race where 1st will win $289,000 which would be a total of over $14,000 to LIAM and his family!

We have other exciting news that we we release in due time but for now, we hope to see our Northern Rivers Members at the Grafton Cup Carnival which has always been a fantastic carnival for us.

LET THE ROAD TO THE MILLIONS BEGIN

💥 PLATINUM CLIENTS GO BANG! 💥

We Bought The 3 We Loved

(Left To Right) – Matt (Vandyke Racing), David Vandyke, Mark Cook, Alan Thomas

Tassort x Scarlett Fox

We are thrilled to be able to secure this amazing type in partnership with Vandyke Racing for only $75,000. We have been wanting to secure a Tassort and his pedigree page is just unbelievable, with Group winners and the champion, Tie The Knot. He looks set to be the Sire upgrade with his half sibling out of Eurozone and an unnamed full sibling filly, which we can't wait to see how she goes.. He was a beautiful mover who covered the ground with plenty of presence and had plenty of strength in his shoulder and hindquarter. Has got growing to do but gee we are excited we got this one!

Pariah x War Flower

The one we had to have! I know people say this a lot, but this one was our pick of the sale, and we got him for only $60,000. He is one of the best types Mr Racing has seen, just check out his sales video below.
We have had good success with the breed Pariah with Slippin' Jimmy (7:3-2-0) and his markings on his head are near identical to those of his grandfather in Redoute's Choice. Our vet gave him a top marks and we believe if he was an early foal and went to Easter or January, he would of bought double what we paid. He will be trained by Queenslands leading trainer in Tony Gollan.

So You Think x Santa Clara

He is an absolute cracker this son of champion sire, So You Think. Mr Racing was able to secure a 20% share in him alongside Skieda Investments and Vandyke Racing. He covers the ground with ease and really walks through in his action. We have gelded him straight away and David is very happy that we did in his latest video report post sale.

🔴⚪🟢Jimmy's Brother - SOLD!🔴⚪🟢

Mr Racing is proud to annouce that Jimmy’s Brother has now been fully SOLD OUT!

It didn’t take long for this bloke to find his new owners, and thank you to all our clients who have come on board, a couple of first-time owners in the mix and we can not wait to see the enjoyment racehorse ownership brings you!

Take a look at the recent video update from trainer David Vandyke when he went to Fenwick Farm this week below.

SUPPORT LIAM 🙌

Mr Racing has A BIG announcement to make regarding Slippin’ Jimmy and how he will be supporting Adrian and his young boy Liam.

We can’t wait to share the news, keep reading below to find out what it is.

SUPPORT HERE

A Little About This Strong Young Boy:

Liam is one of 3 boys (Charlie, Liam and Rocko) Adrian has, and he absolutely loves his footy. He is currently playing for the North Devils under-7’s, where on Saturday he scored a try and got man of the match. He loves the races, (thanks to Dad no doubt) and supports the NQ Cowboys and the Penrith Panthers. We have been told Liam is an excellent student at school, where he excels in his work and enjoys being around his classmates in grade 1. Adrian moved his 3 boys to Townsville for the warmer client to help with Liam’s condition, which the warmer climate seems to be doing great for his body at this time.

Sometimes Liam has to use his wheelchair when his legs hurt and sleeps with a leg brace to keep his feet upright and not lose strength in them. With such a tough trot, he is still a very happy kid with a big personality.

Liam’s recent checkups in Brisbane were good, but the family is just waiting for the downward spiral, as the older he gets, the less time he has.

Your generosity will help Liam through his battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and aid in getting a breathing apparatus to help him breathe and clear the lungs, similar to how we cough. The family will need to buy a van to assist with the wheelchair and, of course, house modifications to help with Liam’s daily activities. Backup power will need to be installed in case of a blackout for Liam’s breathing apparatus, wheelchair access, and reinforced bathroom to help lift him in and out of the bath just to name a few.

These are just a couple of modifications they will need to make to their family home, which could cost upwards of $200,000.

As the days go on, this strong and happy little boy’s life will get harder.

We thank you for helping in any way possible to give Liam the best possible life a little boy can have.

Mr Racing will be kick starting the contribution to this amazing little boys’ campaign with the following:

  • $1,000 donation – PUNTER OF THE DAY MONEY
  • 5% of the prize money Slippin’ Jimmy earns  – $400
  • Proceeds from the Gold Membership $10 per unit on every tip from 03/06/24 – 09/06/24

Nathan White Review

“Without a doubt the best tipping service out there and the fact that they throw in owner of the day and punter of the day promotions. It does not get much better than that.”

Race Reviews

Trapedo

It was another close call for Mr Racing members when our roughie and small play Trapedo nearly got the cash! She began ok but went back to settle last in the run. She mad her run down the outside and hit the line good but needed one more bound to get the bob.

Slippin' Jimmy

We loved this race for him and in hindsight we should of led and controlled the race, but we were terrifed the fence was off after seeing the first two races. We were unlucky that Captian Fenkle didn't take us into the race instead being gone before the turn and forcing B.Wheelers hand to expose him earlier than he liked. The winner got a freakish run right through the field, which just does not happen at Doomben. He is a serious competitor, this bloke who just not give up and tries all the way through the line. He will be having a short let up now and being aimed at a race on Grafton Cup day!

Midweek Multi

Shows A Sign: After a good debut and an impressive jumpout this prep, Shows A Sign began well and went straight to the front over the 800m at Ipswich, winning well by over 4 lengths and running 0.43 seconds quicker than the other 800m race on the day.

Miss Miriam: intentions were to settle further forward but it was not to be having settled worse than midfield. Took off prior to the turn and let down with a good sprint to win eased down on the line with good margins back to third.

Farwest: Slipped when leaving the mounting yard and was vetted prior to start.Had to make a stack of ground up and with the rail out it was too much of an ask. Fair performance overall in a bad race.

Aemelius: The half sister to our star in Brave Mead and we have no idea why Jamie Kah has had a brain explosion here. She began well and could have taken the sit but instead got into a speed battle and set a good tempo. TOP effort to absorb that tempo and fight on like she did.

I'lltellyougo

She was off the map! Ladbrokes bet as high as 11.0 and Mr Racing's platinum member got a good bet on it. She was well backed late again and started 2.3 but did not run up to the market support! Nothing in the stewards to report, but she was gone not long after entering the straight after leading them up. Very disappointing result for all involved.

One To Follow

Don't Forget Jack

One of the best turn of foot we have seen on a horse of late. This 2yr old by Headwater was one Mr Racing was looking to purchase a yearling but had a very high reserve price tag. Yesterday he made it 2 from 2 to kick off his career and it was very impressive the way he put them away once let go. KEEN TO FOLLOW.

The Gold Membership Recap

Disappointing to end the week like we did, we had a good crack at the 2yr old I’lltellyougo at Townsville and she was OFF THE MAP. We secured as high as 5.5 for our Gold Members and she started 2.3 best tote and couldn’t fire a shot for us in the straight.

Slippin’ Jimmy and Trapedo on Wednesday were big results for members but both finished 2nd by less than a head.

Mr Racing will be having a break from the Gold Service whilst we move house and do our internal 6-month review.

Mr Racing Stable News

Slippin’ Jimmy Report:

Beaten right on the line there on Wednesday. In hindsight, we should of led on him with how slow they went early, but it was just a shame that Captain Fenkel didn’t take him that extra 50m into the race. Not to mention the freak run-through that the winner got, last on the turn at Doomben and doesn’t go around a single horse.

Next stop – quick freshen up and there is a race for him on Grafton Cup day.

Whiskey Tower Report:

Whiskey Tower is having a nice spell out at Christmas Creek and looks to be doing well. Dave said she will have another 3 weeks prior to heading back into the stables to begin pre training.

Instigate Report:

Dave is just trying to get things right with her feet at the moment but he is backing off at the moment as she is growing and maturing and just not handling this prep. We will be having a spell now and get her back when she is ready.

Anti Tank Missle Report:

Unfortuntely Mr Racing is going to have to find a home for Anti Tank Missile after his legs not handling the work again. He has got a lesion in his tendon and inflammation in his fetlocks. We will be putting him on the Bloodstock Auction website in hopes we can find a nice home if no success we will send him down to JTR Farm where Rod will take care until we can find the right person to him.

Daring Exploit Report:

Feeling good out on the track this big boy and we are all on track for the 9th of July where he will be having a jumpout.

John Rambo Report:

He looks in great order and is holding plenty of condition. He is moving well and Letitia is pleased with the way he is getting through his work.

At this stage we will look to move him back to Eagle Farm in the next week to 10 days all going well, but we will confirm when he is booked on the truck to make his way here.

Use Your Illusion Report:

Letitia is very happy with the way he is moving and he is eating and looking well.

He will continue to build up his fitness levels with Letitia before we will look to move him back to Eagle Farm in due course, which should be in the next two weeks, all going well.

Smerdon Racing

Kesalul Report:

Coming along well, John is happy with how he has come back and he will just be bringing him up slowly.

Jimmyinthejungle Report:

Well, we have made it to our first jumpout, although it was a surprise update from Adam this morning that today was the day not tomorrow due to the Ambulance not being available tomorrow.

I have attached the video to this email and have spoken with both Adam and jockey Jasper Franklin regarding his performance.

He is the one who steps half a length slowly but then musters in the middle and stays in the middle of three. The winner (outside white sleeves) is named Sujeed and has had one start where it ran 4th beaten 2.7lengths in a Saturday race.

Adam’s Comments:
He was a little slow away but mustered quick, hung out and got on the wrong leg coming around the bend but was strong through the line. Very happy with him but is very green which is to be expected being his first time. Lovely first time especially when I haven’t done much with him and he will really come on from that today.

Jasper’s Comments:
He’s a very very nice horse in the making, has a lot to learn but he will pick it up as he goes. You will have a serious amount of fun with him, he tries very hard.

Exciting to see how he pulls up and progresses onwards.

You Think You Know Report:

Trainer Brett.Cavanough was happy with his first trial this preparation and will give him a couple of days off now to recover and see where we go now.

Jungle Cat x Khasahn

Mr Racing had this colt on our radar at the sales due to his half-brother (King Klaus) whom we tried to buy after his first race start. He is a fast, tough 1000m horse who has built a very handy record (29s :14 - 6 -1) and earned over $300,000 in prize money.

We loved his length, good muscle with clean knees and tracks well, he has a great head and a lovely mover.

If you would like more information please contact Matt via email matt@mrracing.com.au and we can discuss further.

Master Rich

Mr Racing along with trainer Jared Wehlow, purchased Master Rich at the recent Inglis Digital Online Sale for $8,000. He looks suited to North Queensland racing, especially the big Rockampton track and his run-on debut at Beaudesert was good when unsuited.

If you would like more information please contact Matt via email matt@mrracing.com.au and we can discuss further.
