We were stiff not to run 3rd here team. He had the right run throughout midfield one off but that slight baulk in the straight from the eventual winner in Flying Mikki has certaintly cost him third place as half a stride after the line he is in front of the third horse.
Zabeelist
We were hoping from the inside alley she could use the gate and settle further forward. She began ok and ended up travelling well outside the lead but once asked for any effort she failed to respond.
Stewards: When questioned, rider Damian Lane explained the mare began well, raced keenly in the early stages and for this reason was able to take up a more forward position. D Lane stated his mount travelled well throughout, however failed to finish the race off as expected. D Lane added Zabeelist may appreciate being ridden with cover to enable it to finish its races off.
Vos Savant
Mr Racing has never seen a horse dig its toes in so much to not want to take run. In the run, we were very confident that our roughie in Vos Savant was going to be in the finish as it just seemed to be unfolding perfectly in front of her. On the turn at the top of the straight the leader hung out and presented a run back to the inside but the filly just dug her toes in and wouldn't take the run and making contact with the running rail. She has gone to the line untested. The horse Shaken who ran third in the same race last preparation that Vos Savant comes out of won very easily yesterday by 4 lengths at Warwick Farm.
Fumiko
One if not the biggest goes of the day! We secured the good early odds of 7.5 / 2.6 for members and after being sensationally backed into 2.7 she put in a disappointing performance eventually being beaten 2.32 lengths. She did have to make up a fair bit of ground but with the race unfolded we would of liked her to hit the line better than she did.

Spring Lee
Mr Racing loved the first-up of Spring Lee on Saturday at Kembla Grange. She blew them away in quick time with plenty in store. She'll go through the grades quite quickly on that performance.

Well, we just can’t get them home at the moment. It’s becoming very frustrating when we are securing odds that are clearly beating the starting price.
An example of this from last week was Fumiko where Gold Members secured 7.5 and 2.6 in early markets (6.0 after deductions) and the horse started 2.7 / 1.4 on the tote.
We did in saying that finish the week off on the right note with the last 9 bets only 2 missing the top 3 placings.
Our PUNTER OF THE WEEK David. S didn’t walk away with any profit after our finishing bankroll was $8,940 overall from our -106 unit loss.

Slippin’ Jimmy Report:
He has pulled up well after his run there on Sunday. He will have a couple of days off in the yard to get over the run. Looking forward to his next start, we will be looking at either the Ipswich meeting on the 29th or Sunshine Coast on the 31st.
Brave Smash x Provocateur Filly Report:
She is a lovely filly and a good mover. We are looking to go to a 400m jumpout on the 2nd of Jan 2024.

Just a quick note to let you know that Use Your Illusion is penciled in commence pre-training on Monday at River Junction.
He will have a week or two there and then head to Jake Capewell to continue with his preparation under saddle there.

Kesalul Report:
great return for Kesalul at the Sunshine Coast and he has pulled up super, not leaving an oat in the bin the next day. We will be looking at the 29th Ipswich or 31st Sunshine Coast for his next race start.
Brave Mead Report:
Goes to show when your luck is out it is out!
We had an outstanding offer from Hong Kong Interests of $850,000 to buy Brave Mead but unfortunately, he has failed the vet with swelling in his knee. It has no damage or affect on the horse but with the Hong Kong vetting criteria being so strict he was unable to be passed.
The team at CMR and Aus Bloodstock will continue on and look to find a nice race for him over the Autumn.

Jungle Cat x Khasahn
Mr Racing had this colt on our radar at the sales due to his half-brother (King Klaus) whom we tried to buy after his first race start. He is a fast, tough 1000m horse who has built a very handy record (29s :14 - 6 -1) and earned over $300,000 in prize money.
We loved his length, good muscle with clean knees and tracks well, he has a great head and a lovely mover.

Master Rich
Mr Racing along with trainer Jared Wehlow, purchased Master Rich at the recent Inglis Digital Online Sale for $8,000. He looks suited to North Queensland racing, especially the big Rockampton track and his run-on debut at Beaudesert was good when unsuited.
