What is the Archer?
THE ARCHER RACE IS A 1300 METRE RACE RUN UNDER A SET WEIGHT FOR AGE HANDICAP.
The race is held at Callaghan Park, Rockhampton for a total prize pool of $775,000 securing its status as the Richest Race in Regional QLD. The Central Queensland Amateur Racing Club (Rocky Amateurs) hope to grow this prize pool in the coming years depending on race success and Queensland Racing support going forward.
Mr Racing will be sending a preview for this race on Sunday.
Member No. 007 - AKA Jodie
Matt caught up with Jodie one of our winner’s of the Punter of the Day last week.
Jodie won $1,033 for her time in the spotlight and she mentioned that she had to ride Rothgo hard to get him over the line hahah.
Fun Fact: Jodie owns a share in our much loved racehorse John Rambo she has been a big supporter of Mr Racing so it was even more special for us to get the win!
Member No. 026 - AKA Syd
Nothing more exciting for us than to give a member the thrill of having their BIGGEST BET ever and not have to outlay any risk.
We were lucky enough to catch up with Syd in a magic spot on the Gold Coast and listen to his experience with Mr Racing.

Paienbara
Mr Racing was happy to bet around the first and second favourite in this race with our value runner Paienbara. Was specked late in betting from 17.0 into 13.0 and ran a cheeky race at the odds. Jockey J.Huxtable rode him well, saving ground back up the inside but was no match for the winner who had all the momentum up. We have a query on the form moving forward
Sailor’s Secret
Gee this was a 10/10 ride from apprentice C.Graham on Sailor’s Secret. He was well backed late in betting and started 4.2 after sending out around the 7.0 mark. She was aggresive out of the gates to make sure to hold a forward spot, then eased and let the speed go around her taking a sit. He was there to win it in our opinion and finished 2nd taking it 2 from 2 seconds on the day 🙁
Aidenabet
Mr Racing thought there would be more speed on early in this race which didn’t eventuate. In saying that Aidenabet had the right run to win the race and wanted to lay in and not let down. Disappointing performance.
Razeta
The 3yo filly got a lovely run throughout tracking the eventual winner Hawaii Five Oh who is our One To Follow this week. She just couldn’t sprint quick enough with them running into 3rd in a photo.
Seradess – Out Yet?
It was a cruel watch, after beginging well Seradess got a lovely run in behind the speed. Once turning Seradess couldn’t get a run in the straight, losing all momentum eventually being beaten 2.4 lengths by Kallos who had all the momenum in the run. We have no doubt if Seradess gets the run at the top of the straight she wins the race.

Hawaii Five Oh
ULTRA IMPRESSIVE win this!
This was as dominate as one can be. After begining well, Nash settled the lightly raced colt into the perfect trailing position. When he asked him to quicken he let rip with an explosive turn of foot putting his rivals away quickly with Nash looking over his shoulders before easing up on him winning by 3.19 lengths.
Follow with confidence on a dry track!

Anti Tank Missile he is a strong horse this bloke and ran up a furlong in 13s this morning and Dave has him penciled in for a quiet 400m jumpout on the 16th of May.
Jayemmcee Report:
Jayemmcee has really started coming through in his coat and Dave is looking to get him to a 850m jumpout on the 16th of May. Being such a big boy, Dave has had him on a bit of a diet to keep the weight off him. Excited to see him having a jumpout over further in 3 weeks time.
