Responsibility

At Mr Racing we endeavor to keep gambling responsible, safe and entertaining.

Gambling can be an exciting way to enjoy the races and sport but you need to maintain a budget just like you would for any entertainment.

With the new online gambling platforms emerging every month it has become easier and easier to gamble anywhere and at any time – at home, at work, anywhere you have the internet.

This means for some people it can get out of hand very quickly. Responsible play is the only way to play. That means setting and sticking to a budget, taking frequent breaks, and using the provided tools the bookmakers offer to help keep gambling fun and in control.

Understanding that even though you have a budget, take frequent breaks and are doing it purely for entertainment purposes it can still affect other areas of your life such as your personal relationaships, your job and of course your mental health. All gambling activities have risks and it’s important to understand that, over time, you will lose more often than you win. That is why it is better way to play is to see gambling as a form of entertainment and to not expect to win back the money you’ve lost.

Tips For Responsible Play

A couple of tips to help keep your gambling in control

Set a budget you are willing to lose. This can be called your bank roll. A simple way of finding out how much to have on each selection is to work out how much money you want to invest than divide the amount by 250, the result is than your unit value.

You need to bet according to the size of your bank roll. A simple guide is to have 2% of your bankroll on your highest confidence bet.

Set a deposit limit with the licensed bookmakers you use. This way you will never exceed your limits.

Never gamble with money that is borrowed or using credit cards. This will put you in an even worse position than you currently are.

We all love a good beer or wine, but mixing gambling with alcohol is never a good idea. Decisions are not made in the right frame of mind.

Taking frequent breaks from gambling is very benefical. for not only your mental health but also your social life as well. You don’t have to have a bet every week or even every month.
