Brave Mead
Wowee, we bought the one we wanted! Mr Racing and @Logansalvador2 are excited to announce that we secured a 2.5% share in the promising Brave Smash colt Brave Mead at last week’s Inglis Digital sale who is already a listed winner in his first preparation.
What a thrill it is to add this promising lightly raced 3yr old to our stable.
We have some exciting promotional ideas ahead for the Spring with this son of Brave Smash and we can not wait to share them all with you.
He is set to kick off his campaign Saturday week in the Mckenzie Stakes at Moonee Valley over 1200m.
All prizemoney won by Brave Mead on the day will be donated to “2 Beers Chi” GoFundMe campaign. If he manages to win first up it will be around $2,000 added to the donation tally!

Our Tips
West Cork
Mr Racing thought West Cork was a good each way play at the odds. We feel that after controlling the race, jockey N. Evans should of let West Cork roll along at a bit quicker tempo and get the chasers off the bit, eventually only beaten 0.5 length.
Inhibitions
We were keen that our best bet Inhibtions would get the perfect run throughout and be hard to beat and it proved to be true. After begining well, she got the lovely run in behind the speed and picked up the leader in the last few strides winning by 0.4 length and a good margin back to third.
Untouchable Legend
Began awkwardly. App. D. Gibbons reported that when being steadied from the heels of General Salute, which shifted in when not quite clear after leaving the 1000m, his mount got her head up and raced ungenerously for some distance. He said that Untouchable Legend continued to race ungenerously throughout the middle stages and, as a consequence, was not able to make up ground in the straight.
Encap
Possibly Australia's best maidener. All three runs this preparation have been blackbook runs. Unlucky not to win in the Group 3 Up And Coming, but should be winning soon.

Slippin’ Jimmy Report:
Slippin’ Jimmy has arrived back at the stables of David Vandyke and gee he looks to have furnished with his time in the paddock.
He will be bought up nice and steady and is about 7 weeks off his first trial for the prep.
Dubious x Care To Elaborate Report:
This is an exciting time for some members who have purchased a share in the Mr Racing Members syndicate who owns 10% of this cracking colt by Dubious.
Int he video our colt is having an educational jumpout at Bahram.
In the attached video he is the horse in the middle of the three horses.
He leaves the gates quite well, he is just a tiny bit slow away, but does everything right after he leaves the gates and Jake Capewell is happy with where he is at in this part of his education.
Brave Mead Report:
Trialled very well, looked to be doing it very easy throughout. Ciaron and the team are very happy with him and this trial should of topped him off very nicely for the Mckenzie Stakes on Saturday Week at Moonee Valley.

He has a lovely action this bloke, just travelled easily throughout, and when jockey J. Allen gave him a little click up he responded well.

THE LATEMAIL MEMBERSHIP
Back To Back Winning Weeks.
Great to put back to back winning weeks in for our members. Kicking of the weekend with a winning day on Friday when Wategos won the Murwillumbah Cup by 1.93 lengths and giving our Gold Member Mac $800 in profit off his $500 free bet.
We started Saturday with a BANG when our two tips in Race 1 at Doomben ran the quinella in Hard To Say (20units) and Compassionate (5units) a bit stiff not to get a kick along when Robrick was heavily backed in Race 3 at Moonee Valley but couldn’t get past the leader to finish 2nd.
Encap (BlackBooker) was a tradegy not to win the Up And Coming for members when we had 5 units at 12.0 but overall we backed 3 winners, 2 seconds and a third for the day winning a total of 30+ units.
Sunday was quiet for members with only the 3 bets and finishing with a 2nd and a 3rd. We were counting the cash at the 200m with our last bet of the weekend in Chikara when he loomed to win but with only a short sprint on him he just couldn’t quite put them away after getting exposed a touch to early in the straight.
Overall still a good week for our Gold members, winning a total of 30+ units for the week.
