We loved him so much that we decided to buy another 10% and set up a Mr Racing Members Syndicate to race him under. 

This stunning colt will be trained by Queensland’s leading trainer in Tony Gollan and after our recent successes with John Rambo and the team we could not be more excited to be involved with Gollan Racing again. 

This Dubious colt will be ideal to chase the lucrative QTIS races including the QTIS Jewel in 12 months time.

Logan and Mr Racing both had the Dubious x Care To Elaborate colt as their standout top selection at the 2023 Magic Millions QTIS Sale. 

 

He is a lovely, balanced colt who is a real chip off his old man’s block. We expect him to possess speed in abundance and get up and going early.  

 
He has a great action, with a great attitude, and maturity well above his foal date. 
 
He was way above our budget, but when it got knocked down to Tony Gollan we had to take a share, and we bought 10% into him.

Breaking In Report - Jake Capewell

Jake was very happy with how this colt handled his breaking in, he is a forward mature horse. He is a confident colt who is also very independent. He has a lovely action and is very well-balanced. 

He’s showing good signs at his young age, with a nice action and a lot of confidence. The main priority right now is to get educational work in for him.

The page of the Dubious x Care To Elaborate is a little light on up top but with the third dam in Ivory Rose being a good producer. She has produced 3x Stakes winners in being Miss Zoe a 9-time winner, Utzon 6-time winner, and Bosworth a 5-time winner. 

It is a solid page without anything spectacular.

Tony Gollan is a multiple Group 1 winning trainer and trained one of Queensland’s most successful stallions in Spirit of Boom. 

He won his first metropolitan trainer’s premiership in 2013/14, broke the late Bruce McLachlan’s record for city winners with 79 in 2014/15, and broke 100 city winners for the first time in 2019/20. He won his 9th successive metropolitan trainer’s premiership in 2021/22.

Off the track, Tony is committed to the welfare of retired racehorses with wife Jane establishing Transitioning Thoroughbreds Foundation in 2020, a great initiative to support life after racing for thoroughbreds.

I have been involved in several horses over the last couple of years. I now have a 2.5 % share of Adelaide (John Rambo) and am the organiser of a lads punters club (NGBC Racing- Never Go Broke Collecting) that has 10% share of a Supido (Kesalul). NGBC punters club is 5 great mates and has been going for over 20 years. I have fond memories of the 5 of us going to the Rosehill Races as soon as we all turned 18 with our mad punter footy coach teaching us the ropes. His words still ring in my ears with his classic sayings “the more you get on the more you get back” “Two horses in every race ‘you Beauty and you Bastard” The joy of being involved with the boys is unreal! Going to the races to watch your horse is the best feeling. It’s like winning a footy grand final when they win. I remember my legs shaking watching my first horse on debut. A Whittington (Sheezasinga ) MRRacing beaten by a bees dick in a photo finish placing second. Bugger I got so excited after a few wins I bought another share in a (Whittington) London Ruler MRRacing . I didn’t tell the Mrs about this one for several weeks in fear. Going to the races to watch your own horse is enthralling. Meeting up with friends and other owners sharing stories and hearing the tactics of the race over a few refreshments. If you can’t make it to the races it is just as exciting watching at you local watering hole with your mates cheering on making sure not to go the early crow unless you’re on John Rambo. Hahah Both the Supido (Kesalul ) and Adelaide (John Rambo) are with Mr Racing Mark and Matt. Their eye for talent at the sales is exceptional. This is evident with good early signs with both breaking the through with maiden wins on debut and second start respectively. It a much better option financially with Mr Racing as so much money is wasted when teaming up with the big syndicators. A big percentage of the money invested is down the drain before they even gets to the breakers! The Mr Racing set up is fuss free and very easy to set up. They are very professional and have minimal administration fees. There is always updates on other horses in the team and exciting watching them all progress. If you’re looking to get involved Mr Racing is the best option. All the above is not mentioning being involved with Mr Racing subscriptions with an easy to use App. The tips are always on the money and nearly always fighting out the finish. This also fuels my much loved hobby of “Having a punt” but doing it with people that have knowledge and spend hours studying form, times and speed maps.

Having a racehorse is something that I have wanted to do for a long time and Mr Racing made it easy. Each 1% share available in the syndicate is $2,172, including GST.

Ongoing fees associated with your ownership are roughly $55 when the horse is in work.

*Please note that this is an estimation cost based on Gollan Racing’s current fee structure and can be subject to change depending on Gollan Racing’s fee changes.*

Mr Racing is not offering this horse for sale through promotion; we are simply offering a members syndicate at the purchase price and all fees associated up until the colt’s education through Gollan Racing. 

Mr Racing does not charge any management fees through your ownership, and all billing will be done directly from Gollan Racing.

Gollan Racing has more shares available in either a 5% or 10% allocation. At the time of publishing, they are still available. Please note Mr Racing would put you in contact with Gollan Racing if this is the option you are looking to purchase.

Included in the purchase price of the Dubious x Care To Elaborate colt is the QTIS BONUS eligible scheme.
